One little boy, screened by Healthy Beginnings when he was 2 1/2 years old was identified with a speech delay and was provided with a referral to Early Intervention.  While now 4 and still attending Early Intervention classes, his mom says that there has been great improvement in every area of his life. She also shared that his improved development has supported and helped the entire family. With your help this little guy now can say thank you for your support and wish you a happy holiday. Your contribution helped us help him and nearly 500 other children last year.

Since 1994, Healthy Beginnings has provided free early childhood health and development screenings for Deschutes County children aged from birth through five years. The program's goal is to provide accessible, educational, preventative screenings to ALL children. Children are welcome whether or not they have insurance coverage and there are no income requirements. In October of 2011, Healthy Beginnings has expanded and is now screening children in Crook County and will be screening in Jefferson County in 2012.
